With over 42 years of experience in the fire service, Mr. Cochran currently serves as the Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, and Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) for the City of Sansom Park, Texas. He leads a team of 10 full-time fire personnel, including two fire investigators and five fire inspectors. As the lead fire/arson investigator, he manages criminal investigations, conducts fire inspections for new construction and annual reviews, and oversees plan reviews for the city. Mr. Cochran has previously served as Deputy Fire Chief/Fire Marshal for Trophy Club, Assistant Fire Marshal for Ellis County, and Fire Inspector/Arson Investigator for Grapevine Fire Department, among other key roles.

Mr. Cochran holds certifications as a Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI), Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (NAFI-CFEI), and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (NAFI-CVFI). He is also recognized as a Master Structural Firefighter, Master Fire Investigator, Master Fire Inspector, and Master Arson Investigator. His extensive qualifications include Incident Command, Advanced Texas Peace Officer, Fire Instructor I, Fire Officer I & II, CFO, and CPC-FM. With his breadth of experience and certifications, Mr. Cochran continues to lead with distinction in fire service and investigation.
